Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor-Joy was born 16 April 1996 in Miami Florida. She is the child of Dennis Alan Taylor, a former banking executive and Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist, is Anya Taylor-Joy. The father of her mother, who is Argentinean of Scottish and English descendant is her mother. She is Spanish and has English roots. Taylor-Joy is the youngest of five children, four come from her father's previous marriage. They lived in Buenos Aires up until Taylor-Joy aged 6 and later moving to Victoria district in London. Taylor-Joy says that moving to London was traumatic and she did not learn English in order to prevent returning to Argentina. Hill House became her school preference after she was forced to change schools. After that, she was enrolled at Queen's Gate School, where she took dance classes and appeared in plays. At 16, she left the school to take on acting as a profession. Taylor-Joy had always wanted to work as an actor. As a teenager, Sarah Doukas Founder of Storm Management gave her the opportunity to be a model.
