Harry Edward Styles is an English singer, songwriter and musician. He was one of the members of One Direction. He is the child of Des Styles (father) and Anne Cox, Harry Styles was born on January 1st, 1994 at Holmes Chapel. Harry Styles studied at the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School, which is where he formed his own musical band with three classmates, which he called the White Eskimo. They won the 2009 Battle of Bands thanks to the impressive presentation they made. He always showed an interest in music but wanted to become an attorney or a physical therapy. In order to support his family, he spent an hour or so working in a bakery. Harry Styles, in 2010 made an audition for The X Factor. His single Is not She Lovely was recorded by Stevie Wonder. The reason for this is that his band broke up. Nicole Scherzinger proposed to Harry Styles to be a part of a new band, One Direction. The other members were Liam Payne Zayn Mallik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. The formation of the group was a fact in 2010 and the five members were supported by Simon Cowell. They performed tracks such as My Life Would Suffer Without You which was written by Kelly Clarkson, and Total Eclipse of the Heart, by Bonnie Tyler during the competition. This made the group one of the candidates to win the award. They were however placed third just behind Rebecca Ferguson and winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles was not the winner. Cowell was a millionaire in a contract for One Direction.
