Kari Sam Wuhrer born April 28, 1968 is an American singer and actress. Wuhrer began her career as she was a teenager. She is best known for her character Maggie Beckett on the TV show Sliders and also her role as her character, Sheriff Samantha Parker, in the horror comedy film Eight Legged Freaks. Wuhrer was raised at Brookfield Connecticut as the daughter of Karin Noble and worked as a cashier, and German American Andrew Wuhrer. Her father was the eldest of three children. As a child she sang in clubs and went out to perform. The actress studied acting since when she was 13 years old at Wooster School. She then pursued the art of drama at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Marymount Manhattan College, Columbia University, and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts with famed teacher Uta Hagen.Kari Samantha Wuhrer, a model from Connecticut is an American model, actress, and singer.
